Do not take Ibuprofen or Aspirin. Tylenol or other non-aspirin pain relievers may be
taken one hour prior to procedure.
Post Treatment Instructions for all procedures
- We recommend that ice packs be applied for 10-15 minutes each hour for the first 24 hours following the procedure, except at bedtime. It is important to place a clean tissue paper between the ice bag and the skin to prevent frostbite. The ice is used to minimize swelling and provide comfort. After the first 24 hours the use of ice is no longer beneficial. Do not take aspirin, as this promotes bleeding at the micro pigmentation sites. Tylenol TM is recommended for temporary pain relief.
- Normal activity can be resumed immediately. We would recommend that heavy exercise such as aerobic dancing, weight lifting, etc. be delayed for approximately two to three days following the procedure.
- Fading or loss of pigment may occur. Some flaking off of the pigment may occur on some skin types. Do not be alarmed, it is normal. There should be pigment under the skin where the surface pigment has flaked off. If there is no pigment there, then a touch up will be needed.
- Judgment of your final result should be deferred until one month following the procedure. The intensity of the color is most prominent following the procedure itself. Over the next two to three weeks, the pigment intensity will lighten by 30 to 50%. If after one month you feel that certain modifications in the pigmentation need to be made, we will be happy to discuss this with you. - Microblading is the art of placing strokes into the eyebrow area in an attempt to make the brows look more real. Or Microblading is a type of eyebrow architecture. It is all about creating the best shape for each face โ a totally bespoke approach for each client. The process is very precise thanks to the tool that is used which is effectively like a pen with the nib being a sloped blade with 10-12 little needles at the end โ needles that donโt penetrate the skin but just delicately scratch the surface, much like a paper cut.
Shading isโฆ
- Shading or โpowder-fillโ is one part of the microblade procedure. Shading means a stipling technique where the microblading is pushed directly down against the skin. Itโs used on those who have very sparse brows and need a more defined shape. Itโs often done in combination with microblading, so you have the shadow underneath and then the stokes on top. Make sense?! Hereโs a picture of shading. See how different it looks? Itโs definitely a more bold brow.
